getting light and shadow for units are server based but if its on chest its ok

Yeah, but there is a workaround:

When you use an +1 light/shadow item the item gets used and +1 gets assigned to the unit.
Now if you can intercept the value and change it before it gets assigned to +x it could work. Similarly how chests are looted or xp awarded, the value resulting from an action gets modified instead of the value at the server.

Been meaning to ask, is there any technical reason to limit pick up to x25 instead of say x250?

there used to be a mod on iosgod with 255 items but i never tested it
