Ok guys, this problem will happen if you use a virtual machine to play the game. However, there is a way to "bypass" this 'update' screen, so this is how I did it:
- Installed original game on my device, went through all the champions to download their assets.
- Then, using MT Manager, I went to the game files and found all the assets there.
- Opened VMOS, installed the Modded game.
- After that I transfered the game files with the champions assets to VMOS.
- Installed MT Manager on VMOS (you can use another file manager of your choice).
- Copied the files to the modded game folder.
- Path to paste files: Root Directory -> data -> data -> com.kabam.marvelbattle.

hay all I made some steps and I solve this update problem follow steps:
1- download bluestacks 5 and root it.
2- install mcoc mod on bluestacks 5.
3- open game on it and explore info for all champions (2023-2022-superskrull).
4- go to mt manager and in left corner go to: Root Directory -> data -> data -> com.kabam.marvelbattle
5- in right side: storage directory
6- compress folder (com.kabam.marvelbattle) to storage directory
7- close mt manager and open media manager -> explore
8- export to windows compressed folder (com.kabam.marvelbattle).
9- connect your phone to pc and transfer ((compressed folder (com.kabam.marvelbattle)) from pc to your phone.
10 - open vmos on phone and import ((compressed folder (com.kabam.marvelbattle)) to vmos .
11 - open mt manager in vmos
12- in left side in mt manager go to: storage directory -> vmosfilestransferstation -> ((compressed folder (com.kabam.marvelbattle))
13 - extract in right side: storage directory
14 - in left side paste folder (com.kabam.marvelbattle) to: Root Directory -> data -> data -> com.kabam.marvelbattle
15 - when aske replace files replace all files.

Everyone I have an easy way to fix the "updating" screen it just worked for me ok so. step 1. Delete Marvel contest of champions mod and blackmod and download the regular marvel contest of champions from playstore. step 2. Go to every champion that makes u have the "updating" issue and download their assets (by tapping on the champion "view info"). step 3. Redownload blackmod and Marvel contest of champions from here and you should be good to go.

it worked for me just go to the featured 6* tab info and its download their assets, just in case enter all acts and events u wanna play just enter it once and leave. it took me like 10 minutues

First step: Uninstall Marvel from your real smartphone, uninstall Black mod, and uninstall Marvel from your VMOS Pro and clear all cache.

Second step: Install the Marvel MOD APK on your real smartphone, log in to your account, and go to the "champions" area. Then select the "2022 and 2023" tags in the filter and click on all the characters that appear there (info). Some will load, others won't. After clicking on the info for all characters, close the game, open the emulator and port the "champions" game. That's it, you can play it calmly. solução.rar
