I am encountering a license validation issue when attempting to launch
Marvel Contest of Champions via GameBox Booster.
Issue description:
- The game installs correctly.
- I download the license file and remove the “.txt” extension as instructed.
- I place the license file in the designated directory.
Observed behavior:
- When the license file is present in the correct directory, the game crashes immediately during startup.
- When the license file is removed, the game launches but crashes shortly after, indicating missing license validation (expected behavior).
Actions already taken:
- Performed multiple license resets.
- Re-downloaded the license file.
- Reinstalled the game.
- Ensured correct file naming and placement.
Additional concern:
My account currently shows
two active paid subscriptions, as I've thought it would be a billing issue with the older subscription:
- Gold Member (monthly)
- Diamond Member (quarterly)
Both are being billed,.
Technical suspicion:
This appears to be a failure in the license validation process, potentially related to:
- Invalid or expired license payload being generated by the server
- Device binding mismatch (device ID not properly registered)
- Corrupted or incompatible license file format
Request:
Please verify:
- The validity and regeneration of my license on the server side
- Proper binding of the license to my device/account
- Resolution of duplicate subscriptions and entitlement conflicts
I would appreciate a prompt resolution, please.
