Has anyone ever been banned using this mod? Is there any way to avoid this?
At first I relied way too much on the Mod. I think I've been lucky because I was able to get to max level content without even a warning. Having said that, we did have 1 player on our BM forum guild that was axed. This came 1 day after he used a different mod from another site with a 1-hit kill function. It bypassed protection and we guessed that it's what got him noticed.
If I were working for CG and had the task of tracking down cheaters, here's what I would look for:
- Players with achievements that aren't plausible with their current roster. [Top Rank in Heroic Raids with only a single 7 star character on the roster, or any Mastery Event Achievement with a subpar roster]
- Similar to above, check for players with Legendary Characters on their roster, with required characters to unlock at very low gear levels or even worse at Character level 1. [Yes, some people are REALLY that careless]
- As mentioned before by ***meat11, high rank PvP with a subpar roster.
- I would check for level 50 characters who have just unlocked mods , and check who was impatient enough to go ahead and clear Stage 8 of mods, and equipped himself with full 4* Mods.
- I would check Galactic War Data. You're not supposed to clear it at first unlock.
- I would check Raid and Territory Damage Data if I had access to it.
These are some of the ways you can give yourself away as a cheater. We try and keep ourselves in check to protect each other from being reported. Regardless of everything mentioned prior, from my experience as a mod user from start to finish, the 3 fastest ways to get yourself banned is
a) 1 hit-kill mods
b) Get yourself noticed by beating people you're not supposed to beat on PvP.
c) Dealing an absurd amount of damage on raids and thus finishing in 1st place. Doing 2x or 10x the damage a higher more equipped player is a surefire way to upset some players. They will screenshot and report you.
There are literally millions of accounts on SWGoH, and even with the help of AI filters, it would be impossible for any human supervisor to check all suspicious data on all flagged accounts. HOWEVER, reported players by other users, (in my opinion) would get placed in a priority list for first review.
Sorry for the long post, but after our friend was banned, I wanted to share our experience in this issue with the hopes of helping others not fall into the same traps.
Cheers!
