Hi everyone
So trying to install the update but aparently it wont update as previously just installing over old version , what to do if I want to keep my data as I've been playing as a guest for like 5 months and dont want start all over any advice would be appreciated, thank you in advance

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I would start by turning by guest account to a google account. (Using a guest account Is never a good idea, no matter the game)
Assuming I don't have access to the game anymore, I would install an original version of swgoh (unmoded) apk (just google it) and try to install over. If this didn't work (probably) I would take an educated risk and just uninstall my current version and then use google play store to install the original swgoh version.

Why "educated"? Well, some time ago (can't remember why) but for some reason I wanted to force-start a new guest account and In my emulator no matter how many times I uninstalled and installed the game or version I used, it always started the same guest account.
After some research, I found out that the games ID was linked to my emulator device (or something like that. I really can't remember.). The workaround was to (in phones) do a factory reset or (in emulators) create a new instance/VMs.

With this in mind, you should be good IF you don't change anything in your device or emulator.

After this I would follow the instructions in the 7th post of swgoh forum here:
Only after succeeding doing all of this, would I try to install the mod.
The sign version requires facebook login. The unsign version can use google account but requires root.

Thank you very much for the help I mean I was worried I'll loose all my data if I uninstall but workwd like a charm everything stayed so perfect , but now I tired to link woth FB always comes up with an error so think I might just carry on using it as a guest and hope every future updates of the client will work heh

I removed the old version but I lost the data when I installed the new version.
How can I prevent losing data. It' doesn't let me link with Google play or FB

I guess you are using a phone and the sign version. I read here somewhere that you have to uninstall the facebook app (don't know if just disabling it works) and use Google Chrome to sign in to FB.

I'm glad you didn't loose your guest account but don't push your luck.
Some day you phone might die and then there's (literally) no way to get your guest account back.

I'm not a mod, tech support or dev here, so...

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I'm guessing you are using a phone. If this is the case and your guest account is gone:
1-uninstall swgoh mod.
If your phone is not rooted carry one reading. If it is, jump to "ROOT".
2-uninstall your Facebook app
2.1-If you can't uninstalled it, disable it.
2.2-If with FB disabled you still can't login to FB with Google Chromed, jump to "ROOT".
3-Install swgoh from Google Play Store.
3.1-Install Google Chrome if you haven't done so.
3.2-Make sure Google Chrome is the default app for browsing.
4-Follow swgoh on-screen instructions and as soon as possible go to swgoh "Setting" (the cog wheel)->"Connect"->"Facebook Connect" and follow on-screen instructions (along the process, it should pull up Google Chrome for the Facebook login) and connect swgoh to FB.
5-Restart swgoh and check if everything is ok. It's a good idea to try it on another phone, only if just to test it.
6-unistall swgoh and install swgoh mod sign version.
7-Start swgoh mod and you should be able to login to FB and get your account.
8-Don't reinstall or re-enable FB app.

ROOT:
1-It's mandatory for Google Account.
2-There's to many variables for me to wright it here without knowing anything about your setup.

Seems to work! the game need still blackmod.license ? so they havent removed the vip package from the usign version?

Hm... I had trouble with my VM (Nox), so I had to reinstall one and root it again, with all the lucky patcher stuff and all.

Before, when I wanted to apply the mod, i just clicked it after it downloaded, it installed and it worked.

Now it says "Application not installed, it may be corrupted".
What have I missed ?

Although I'm replying to you, this is not just for you so, please, don't take it personal.

I'm not a mod, tech support or dev here, but...

EVERYONE, HELP YOURSELF TO GET HELP!!!

Start by helping yourself by following the instructions on this forum first post (the long one where you downloaded the apk).

Google search your error.

Then, when you post for help:
what are you using? Phone? Emulator?
Android version? 01? 07? 12?
Are you using the sign or unsign version of the mod?
What's the error msg, exactly?

Remove Facebook application and use chrome as default browser

Hello yajdam and thanks for the help.

None of both worked. It's curious. With the apk I donwloaded from Legend, it now loads until "Initializing game files", but I got an error telling me BM cannot find the licence file...It's only for VIPs am I right ?

When using a sign version of the apk it fully loads the game.

I turned signature check off. What may I be missing ?
