if you have lap or pc download LDOE on it and extract obb file and connect your mobile and copy obb file directly to sdcard/android/obb and install apk , now you can play game because mine was android 11 I did same simple and easy

it's works flawlessly, but since it's outdated, it's asking to update the game.

what I've been wondering is, why in v 1.17.x works but v 1.18.x doesn't. is there significant code changing in it..

Ok! Have you try use Game Booster? Try use it first and open game. See if still not crash.
