You only must not use "one hit kill" is in the tutorial till you lose the expedition to continue the mission tutorial, after that you can use "one hit kill".
The problem in the future is, to lvl up the mercs rank you will need the merc contract card and good luck geting one of that sh1t!

You cant cheat expeditions, the game checks your lvl and if lower then enemy its a fail!
