In my experience, I got 2 accounts for my trial. I did some experiment about the ban thing. I played for two season without getting ban but only i didn't achieve at 50 rank. So the third season i decided to test if i can go up more to TOP 1000 without any ban because i really need the 2K cc cuz im broke. So after the third season, well, some warning screen pop up from the Dragon Ball Legends Community. I was surprised because on my 2nd account, i use the same atk and def option as you guys do, 2/2 and ranked up to 45. Gladly, my 2nd acc didn't came up with any warning sign there after the third season but 1st acc does. So i think, for my opinion, You can use hacks in PvP but don't ever rank up to 50 in TOP 1000 which there are cool rewards. Because it's kinda against the system to get the fame for the cc rewards tho. Just keep playing under 50 to be safely or never get on rank 50 if you really are afraid of getting ban.

Ah yes, I was tempted by the 2000 crystals as well. Should have just stopped at 3001 - 6000 Place. I went a bit overboard and go up to 1000+ Place.

Question: You mention play under rank 50. That you mean Battle Rank 50 right?
So after hitting Battle Rank 50, do you recommend just stop doing PvP and not get any Ranking Reward? Or do you think it is okay if we don't get too high into the Placement, e.g., stay within 6001 - 10000 Place?

Yes, the best thing to do is to never get any ranking rewards or get your username at the TOP Global.This game usually check our activity after we rank up in TOP and more carefully before we receiving rewards like 2K cc. As long as you didn't get rank showed above the rank 50. It's okay you rank stats shows " 'No Rank', Rank 50" if you know what i mean. So that's all i can do to answer. Let's play safe without getting ban we don't wanna lose all of our desire characters, mahn. Oh and i usually use ATK= 1, DEF= 2 in PvP cuz my attack are strong when they get buff so i dont need 2x strong but i need 2x strong for my defense.

I'm going to test this once more to see the results of the bans. I'll come back here if it's okay ranking up to 6001 - 10000 Place. Right now, try to keep playing under that ranking.

Alright man, yeah I will do the same for now. Just Battle Rank 50, and stay out of the actual season ranking (placing).
If I get a chance to, maybe will test PvP using a new account. If I do, will definitely come back and post my findings after couple months.

No issue for previous season, probably because I only played a bit and just stopped at battle rank 50, not even ranked I think.

However for the season that just ended yesterday, I played quite a bit and got to season rank 1000+, but unfortunately received a warning from DBL team about detection of unfair play, and got zero rewards of course. Kind of weird, as the example they gave for unfair play was intentionally disconnecting from fight ,which I didn't do, but did encounter quite a number of such cases where the fist exchanges will like go on forever and eventually leading to a Draw. I thought the other party must be disconnecting or resorting to some tricks.

Anyway, good if folks can share their experience on PvP using mod. Perhaps it is safe if we keep seasonal rank to certain level, or maybe more subtle settings like Atk = 1, Def = 3 or something.

I play with atk 999 def 500, but everything was fine. and I mostly play PvP minimum 1 time each day

Yeah I think for now, I will just play very minimum PVP, maybe just keep outside of the season ranking.
So just get Battle Rank 50 and remain Unranked. Should be safe.
