If you're using an emulator, trying playing on LDplayer 9.0.57
I'm able to run the game even though I get the java.io.filenotfound exception: rainbow.png message
(Also I think that error message has to do with the modding feature not displaying rainbow colors anymore, it shouldn't affect the function, only the appearance)

haven't tried on emu. i always playing on phone and this happens the last update the game just keep crashing after press continue to enter the game

I don't think you're stuck, if you haven't defeated the boss (Galliard), defeat him.
Otherwise, go back to Elzion and enter Ishar's to proceed with the story
You also won't get the option to teleport between times until much later
