Don't overuse the mod; apparently, the game can differentiate you from a casual player. I ran several tests, both with god mode and with NPCs missing all their attacks. Most of the time, I had to play with 2x damage and 3x defense. When I didn't, the game would freeze my battles because they ended too quickly or because I dealt too much damage.
