JP version has SafetyNet protection. At the moment, it's impossible to bypass SafetNet without rooting your device.

I suspect more was changed than just the icon. I surmise the developer snuck in some code to prevent the game from properly loading with an updated sanity check akin to SafetyNet. I could be wrong. I do hope it's fixed before 8 eastern tonight.
