[Star Wars Galaxy of Heros] How to install modded APK?

Dear all,
this question might sound stupid but I simply cannot find the answer within the forum. I have the modded SWGOH apk installed on my NOX Android 4.0 emulator and it works fine. Now I would like to upgrade to Android 7 but I'm simply not able to get the modded SWGOH apk running. I did the following

• Install SWGOH from google store (v0.20.643856)
• Started and logged in to SWGOH with google account
• Closed the game completely
• Installed Lucky patcher and selected the SWOGH game.
• Within the tool menu I clicked remove licence verification and selected automatic in the following screen. I received a message that 2 patches worked.
• I closed lucky patcher
• I drag and dropped the unsigned SWGOH apk (Game Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes v0.20.643856 MENU MOD | ATTACK MULTIPLE | DEFENSE MULTIPLE - Best Site Hack Game Android - iOS Game Mods - BlackMod.Net) into to NOX window and wait for the confirmation "apk installed"
• I started the game
• Starting works without any issues, but it is still the original version of the game without the mod.

Can someone let me know what I'm doing wrong?

Problem solved. The manual in the thread mentioned above was misunderstood by myself. Let me summarize the steps:

1. Ensure that the device is rooted
2. install Lucky Patcher
   1. Click Toolbox in the bottom of the app
   2. Select patch Android
   3. Check the first two checkboxes
   4. click execute
   5. restart device
3. Install original SWGOH App
4. Start app and login
5. Close app completely
6. Install the modded App (unsigned version) over the original app
7. done.
